Making Equality a Reality Together with Local Self-Governments
International Women’s Day celebration ignited many local self-governments throughout Serbia to mark the official start of the small-grant projects strengthening local Gender Equality Mechanisms supported by the Swiss Government through the Swiss PRO Programme.

Support for the strengthening of gender equality at the local level was the main topic discussed by the representatives of the Swiss PRO program with 11 participants in the OSCE program of professional development within local self-government, at a online workshop held on February 26, 2021.

Support for 28 cities and municipalities in Serbia to strengthen gender equality
The Swiss PRO Programme, within the public call "Let’s Make Equality a Reality", supported 28 local self-governments to implement projects aimed at strengthening mechanisms for gender equality. More than 5,000 citizens will directly benefit from these projects.
