Public Call for Support to Local Self-Governments in Strengthening Gender Equality Mechanisms - deadline extended until October 23

  • Post date: Thursday, 10 September 2020

  • Closed on: Friday, 23 October 2020

Do you want more equality between citizens in your local community?

Do you see the need for  citizens, especially young people, to get involved in the dialogue on gender equality and the elimination of gender stereotypes?

Do you have ideas on how to improve local good governance practices that contribute to gender equality?

Through a public call under the slogan "“Let’s Make Equality a Reality”, the Swiss PRO program will directly support up to 30 local self-governments to implement projects aimed at institutional strengthening of local gender equality mechanisms. This initiative is part of the activities for the promotion and advocacy of gender equality in local communities, which are supported by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss PRO development programme.

Total budget of the public call is EUR100,000. The grant value  per project is up to EUR 3,300.

The duration of the project is from six to eight months.

The deadline for submitting the project proposals is extended until October 23, 2020.

The public call for proposals has been organised through a competitive process and the selection of beneficiaries will be made through evaluation and ranking of the submitted project proposals. You can learn more details about the process, the selection criteria and the applying in the Call for Proposals Description and Criteria.
